1) Narrator's Every day Visit to Gymkhana:
Narrator every day made a trip to the Gymkhana Grounds to have a look at his engine. He grew fond of it. He loved its shining brass parts: He stood near it and patted it affectionately, hovered about it, and returned home every day only at the close of the show. Narrator was a poor man; he thought that his all troubles were coming to an end.
2) Received a Notice of Municipality:
When showman took down his booths and packed up, Narrator received a notice from the municipality to attend to his road engine. The next day when narrator went to gymkhana he saw the ground was littered with tom streamers and paper decorations, Showman had moved on, leaving the engine where it stood. He received a notice from municipality ordering that the engine should at once be removed from ground as otherwise they would charge rent for the occupation ofGymkhana ground. After deep thought narraconsentd to pay the rent, and he paid ten rupees a month. for the next three months. Actually narrator was a poor man. His wife every day was asking him about the road engine and he was unable to give any answer to her.
3) Offer for Sale and Sundry:
One day narrator went to town and he offered to sale and sundry of that road engine. That time someone suggested him to meet to the secretary of the local Cosmopolitan Club might be interested in that road engine.
4) Meeting with Secretary and Municipal Chairman:
As per given suggestion narrator went to meet secretary. When he asked him about road engine for buy, secretary laughed and asked narrator that what he should do with a road engine. Narrator told him that he will dispose of it at a concession for him. Narrator told him that he can use that road engine for his tennis court to be rolled every morning. But secretary was not ready to buy that road engine. Then someone suggest narrator to meet and ask for road engine to Municipal Chairman. With great trepidation narrator went to municipal chairman and mentioned his business. Narrator was ready to give a big concession but municipal chairman was also not ready to buy that road engine. He tried very hard to sell that road engine but in vain, he was not become successful to sell that road engine.
